You have only seen snippets here and there of the kitchen over the year since we bought our new home . The kitchen is still a work in progress, aesthetically speaking. It functions quite well, but it still needs a bit of pretty.
Things to do list for the kitchen includes changing out the outlets on the island and choosing cabinet hardware.
These are early morning shots, a tad grainy and dark. Early morning is when I catch my best energy for picture taking and blogging.
We find we like the dark cabinets. We talked about having the island painted, but decided we didn’t need the hassle. Time to relax, folks.

We replaced the dishwasher that was in the house when we moved in. The first replacement had a small leak and had to be replaced with another. Third time is the charm. Here is our new smooth running, quiet non leaking dishwasher, installed this past Monday.
I love this arrangement atop the fridge. It has been there a year and I have no plans for changing it out. I find I tend to leave things as is for longer periods of time, these days. Of course, that gives me less blog fodder, but that’s okay.
