Through the eyes of grandchildren.
Eldest grandchildren, Xanti and husband Kyle, moved to a small Missouri town this week. Kyle is the new youth pastor of First Baptist. They are excited at the prospect of this wonderful adventure and we are excited for them.
They rented this big beautiful old Victorian home, their dream home. Renting instead of buying to get the feel of living in an older home and exploring the work involved in renovations. They considered buying a home, but in the end decided to rent first just to give it a try.
Before settling in, they took the train to Chicago, bright and early Monday, for a bit of exploration. That is Kyle walking to the train in St Louis.
One of my all time favorite Mother’s Day gifts was a trip to Chicago with all my daughters and granddaughters a few years ago. Some of us took the 45 minute flight from StL and others (yours truly, Xanti and her mom) took the train. Fun times and great memories…just us girls.
Leaving St Louis.
All photos for this post are provided by Xanti and her photography business, Off the Wall Portraits. I am compensated with lots of love and hugs and kisses.

Room service supper. First day is done. I can’t wait to see more of their trip to Chicago.
