Pods Without Pumpkins
I’m mulling over mantel embellishment; mantel musing…humor me.
Fall color, without being obviously Fall, on the mantel.
I don’t want to pile it on this Fall. Leaning toward a more minimalist view of Fall arrangements, I like the mirror, two candlesticks and silk magnolia blooms with pods. A Simple design that suits us.
I turned on the fireplace for awhile today. We are trying to burn off the odor or newness, before cold weather when we will begin using the fireplace.
I replaced the framed canvas with a large mirror. I like the idea of the lantern reflected in the mirror.
I’m considering the tray with pumpkin and squirrel on the coffee table. The pumpkin is brown herringbone fabric from Lynne’s Gifts and More, a small town shop in NW Missouri. We met Lynne through blogging and in person at her Christmas Open House a few years ago.
I may or may not add more to the mantel. For now I like the trimmed down look.
