Gathering ideas for Fall and trying them in the living room.
We moved the Pier One swivel chair and ottoman into the living room from the master bedroom. I stored the navy cushions and replaced them with the creamy beige sort of off white cushions from storage. I will do something different with the tray. The pillows and throw will probably stay.

Sunday Drive
We spent Sunday with two grands, their mommy and aunt and uncle, picking apples at Eckert’s, Grafton Illinois and having lunch at Pere Marquette Lodge.

The building in the photo above is newly built for a winery, coming soon, at Eckert’s Grafton orchard.
The vineyard is seen in the distance.
Half the fun of the day is the Golden Eagle Ferry ride across the Mississippi River from Missouri to Illinois and the return.
Crossing the Illinois River at Grafton, aboard the Brussels Ferry is fun too.
Picking Honey Crisp Apples at Eckert’s Orchard, Grafton IL. I don’t know if D is looking for a bruise or getting ready to take a big bite of the apple. I definitely know he loves apples. Sampling is encouraged at Eckert’s.
Playing chess before lunch at Pere Marquette Lodge, Grafton IL. The lodge is a longtime family favorite.
