I know when it is time to bring out Fall color. I believe we all do. There is a change in the air and light that just tells us, Fall is around the corner. As I write this, it is August 11th. I haven’t felt that air or noticed the change in light. It will be another month, at least, even with the fairly mild Summer we are having.
Until the time is right, I am gathering a few Fall things in the guest room. When we were on South Main, a week or so ago, I picked up a Fall wreath at The Flower Petaler. My plan is to hang it on the front door. Until then I put it around the neck of the white swan in the guest room. That has me thinking about another wreath for the front door because I love how this wreath looks on the swan. We’ll see what happens when it is time to add Fall to our home.
I’m experimenting with pillows after storing away the bright green I used in Spring and Summer.
I’m definitely using this pillow.
I’m happy I found the magnolia leaves.
We rolled up the lighter rug and brought in this one with darker, richer colors, to warm up the great room in the coming months. The lighter rug will return in Spring.
We found someone to hang the Pottery Barn panels. That could be happening sometime this week.
Another happy accident. I must have zigged when I should have zagged while shooting photos for this post. This is the result. I like it.
