The Pottery Barn trellis panels arrived yesterday evening. We are looking for someone to hang them horizontally, one above the other, on the wall behind this half wall. That is a tricky wall, because it is on the stairway leading to the basement.
The panels are even prettier in person.
Noah and his mom stopped by for a quick swim this morning. While they were here G’pa and Noah supervised a basement excavation across the street. Notice Noah’s binoculars.
J bought a palm for one corner of the deck. That meant furniture flipping. I moved the swivel chairs to one corner and returned the bistro set to it’s original position. I usually need something for propping my feet. J brought out his little iron milk stool. I don’t know how old it is. I do know J used it when he was a kid, back in the nifty 50’s.
We’ve had lots of interest in our deck and pergola over the past two weeks since it’s completion. This is good news for our very efficient deck guys.
And then there was lunch.
I spread my cakes with honey pecan cream cheese, rolled them like a crepe, speared them with fruit skewers, drizzled them with just a tiny bit of syrup and finished the presentation with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
Yum!
We added a leaf to the dining table to see how it will work when we have guests for meals. It works great. I’ll add two of the slip covered chairs when we need them.
Speaking of guests, we have an extra special overnight guest at our house this evening. We get to spend time with one of our favorite people. While she is here, she will help us with a few things around the house to earn camp money. She knows we would give her the money without the chores, however, she is very insistent about earning it. We will certainly have a look at the chaos in the new basement boutique. What a chore that is. I’m sure she will find a few things to take home and we will have a tidier boutique.
Enjoy your weekend!
