Notable Notes for Saturday may sound like a lofty title for this humble blog and that’s okay. The notes in this post just happen to be notable to Pat and J because we found a few Summer things important to us.
I thought Summer holidays would pass by before I found red, white, and blue. Independence Day is approaching quickly.
In our last haul from the smallest storage, we found a flag pillow from Pottery Barn and another from Kohl’s.
The Pottery Barn pillow found a place in this rocker, in the master bedroom. The RL ticking pillow and striped throw are from Home Goods.
The Kohl’s pillow sits in one of our Windsor rockers in the TV room/den. The pair of rockers were handmade, especially for us, at the Windsor Chair Shop, Clarksville Missouri.
The tv room is evolving; furnished with things special to us. Though it may not be on trend, we like it. Just a small part of what making a home is about, memories and memoribilia. Not always trendy or what the guy next door has, it makes the home dwellers happy.
This room is cozy and warm. We don’t have cable hooked up in here yet. We have a simple little radio. We spend time in this room having coffee, reading, computing, and listening to the radio.
You will see more of this room as we settle in.
