Sofa arrived, from Ethan Allen, Monday morning.
Accent pillows from Pier One.
I ordered the lattice sections, I wrote about in the previous post, from Pottery Barn. There was never a question whether or not J and I would hang the piece. There is no way we would attempt something like that. It was just a matter of finding someone to do the work and advice about how to go about the project. The watermark on the photo above is in the approximate spot where we want the lattice to hang.
The fireplace and server accessories are finished for now. Other vignettes and arrangements are works in progress.
She’s giving me “the look”, lest I forget who is in charge here.
Fabric and rug comparison.
From master bedroom doorway towards secretary and hallway to foyer.
Not exactly on the back burner, the kitchen area is definitely a work in progress. I’m not quite ready to unveil this area yet. We keep it tidy; that is just about it. The island top needs repair. The work will be taken care of this week. J wants us to consider a different surface for the island, maybe later. We bought a new faucet and I am shopping hardware. Backsplash is being considered. We will just have to see what happens.
Imagine my delight when I found the enamel coffee pot, sitting atop one of the packing cartons in the basement. A small but sweet step in settling in.
