Painter guys were here Tuesday, finishing the work begun in early April. I began putting things back together, this morning.
It has been an exhausting couple of months since we closed on our home March 23rd. Lots of adventures along the way.
We are happy we decided to buy one of McBride’s Homes in a Hurry. We knew we did not want to build another house but we wanted new construction, if possible. We don’t mind a bit of a challenge. We’ve enjoyed making little changes here and there. New flooring, paint and light fixtures make a big difference.
The next project, for our new home, is in the near future. We can’t wait to see our deck come together. It will be another version of the back porch.
The photos in the collage were taken Tuesday, with a phone, while the painters were finishing applying Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige. The top photo is looking toward the kitchen from the fireplace. When we are settled in and have all our furniture and bric-a-brac from storage, I will do a proper photo shoot, with a better look at the layout of our new home.
I love the look of the white trim, fireplace and shutters against Accessible Beige.
I’ve managed fairly well to make our new place homey, even with the absence of bric-a-brac. I will have plenty to do over the next months. I am looking forward to that.
I am sure this room will take on a completely different look, as time goes by.
