Half Wall Dilemma
While we unpack, rearrange, and settle in, the one constant dilemma, as far as accessorizing, has been the half wall. This is the stairway to the basement. When the wood floors were installed, we added a better grade carpet to the stairs. That is as far as we went with improving that area of the great room.
By happy accident, I found this lattice piece at Pottery Barn, online. I like this, J likes this and it has met the approval of family. My dilemma is how to put it on the wall without building scaffold. The application, in the photo, is actually two sections. We would purchase two sections. The question is, how in the world do we manage the stairs?
I am on the verge of ordering this. It would be easy enough to return to a PB store, if we need to.
Each section weighs 15 pounds. That is easily managed. The size is perfect. It would hang centered on the table sitting against the half wall.
Meanwhile, as I mull over my artsy dilemma, here is a long shot from great room to dining nook and a look at the foyer light, installed today.
