When we were at Ethan Allen, last week, I spotted an absolutely fantabulous silk orchid. It was green with a coral center, planted in a green container, sitting on a gorgeous chartreuse hued ottoman. The complete display was amazingly unforgettable. So unforgettable, I went in search of silk orchids. I found most of what I needed, to replicate the design, at Michaels. However, it wasn’t until we visited a nearby garden center that I found the orchids I needed. That’s right, I found these good quality silks at a garden center.
There has been a change above the mantel. We visited our storage units over the weekend and picked up a few things. The print above the mantel was formerly above the living room sofa in our old house.
The beautiful iris canvas is finding a home in our room.
In this photo you can see how it works beautifully with the bedding. I’ll post about the room when it is finished, sometime next month.
Our flooring is ordered, with install expected sometime around mid May. We chose Mohawk Acacia Barrel. The photo was taken at our former home. The chair is at the upholsterer getting a new look.
The Shutter Guy was here last week. We hope to have shutters installed throughout our new home in the next few weeks. I chose the Plantation Shutter with a traditional trim.
