Hello dear friends…by now you’ve probably heard about my little spell. No sooner than J had been dismissed from hospital, a week ago last Thursday and signed the papers to purchase our new home the next day, this virus going around landed on me with a bang! I am the healthy one, remember.
At first I thought I could knock this out in two or three days. However, the virus had other plans and I landed in the ER last Thursday night, for about 6 or 7 hours. I was given an IV of fluids and meds and came home to bed, where I stayed most of the time until this morning. I am still extremely weak, but I am able to take solid foods. We are now two weeks behind our plan, but as you know we roll pretty well with the punches. J’s strength is much better and I hope to be in a couple of days.
J called our trim guy and painter guy this morning. Painter guy will be by tomorrow evening to bid on some painting. Trim guy works with painter guy. We will talk to him about the trim when they are here painting. Pretty simple requests. Same trim over front door as the old house and a little molding or something to dress up the half wall.
We are fairly sure we will choose Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige, but Worldly Gray is pretty nice too. We have seen Accessible Beige in eldest daughter’s home. I spent the week J was in hospital there and got to see the color in all lights. It is very nice. I’ve not seen Worldly Gray other than the chip. What do you think?
Our fridge and washer and dryer arrived Saturday evening. The Lowe’s delivery guys were wonderful. I was happiest to see the washer and dryer. They are just the simple little top loading style that I’ve used in one place or other for 50 years. The washer is one of the last to have an agitator. I was able to wash two loads of laundry between 3am and 5am, Sunday morning. Then I needed to rest…definitely. Doing laundry sure felt good though and helped with the cure. My days and nights are mixed up a tad.
I can’t remember if I posted this here. I remember having it at Facebook, so you may have seen this photo. The spray of tulips and forsythia was put together by Lori at All About Home Troy Missouri. Just the thing to brighten our front door and entry.
Clay and rock is our lawn at the moment. Baby steps!
Thank you everyone for your good thoughts and prayers. We shall return.
