Just in time for the move, the dining room table arrived, Wednesday morning. I haven’t even removed the tags yet.
The dining space, in our new home, is slightly larger than this rug. The table without leaves should fit nicely for everyday use. We can add leaves for special family meals and still manage quite well. My plan is to have the arm chairs on either side of the wine cabinet, on the half wall in the great room until they are needed for the table.
The color scheme, in these photos, is what I’ve planned for the kitchen/great room area; neutral with a dash of color.
We are in serious packing mode. The last of the dishes are on the farmhouse table in the breakfast room, ready to be taken to storage. I have an idea I’ll be drawing blog tablescape photos from the archives, over the next few weeks. I’m looking forward to setting the first table in our new home.
Our granddaughter and her husband have requested the farmhouse table and colorful chairs. We are delighted to keep the table and chairs with the family awhile longer.
With sub zero temps here today, I thought a summery table would brighten the day. Simple and warm, set with Mikasa French Countryside plates and Oneida Louisiana stainless.
