Something new arrived yesterday evening. Well, not exactly new, but rather renewed. We sent the roll armed bench to be re-upholstered, with the idea of using it in the dining room as a sort of banquette style bench. While the bench was away, we (the kids) moved the dining room table out while we decide about having it painted. Meanwhile, the bench has returned to the living room where it began in 2003. The dance of musical furniture continues.
Here is the bench in it’s original fabric. Remember when Christopher Lowell used this style bench in many of his designs? I ordered our bench at Troy Furniture in 2003. It is Flexsteel and coordinated with the Flexsteel paisley sofa we now use in J’s lodge. After 11 years the bench was beginning to look a tad bit tired. It was time for an update.
New upholstery in a textured fabric. The color is Barley.
You can catch a glimpse of snow beyond the trees. The snow is minimal even though we have arctic temperatures this week! Not at all November, as usual, in Missouri.
We have errands to run tomorrow. It has been almost a week since I last ventured out. Since a heat wave (40’s F) is predicted, I plan to enjoy the day. This is what I’m wearing.
Thanks to every one for the wonderful response to my wardrobe posts. It’s encouraging to know you are interested in what this little old G’ma is wearing.
The grey sparkle and glitz top is actually a sweatshirt from Chico’s, last year. The quilted vest is from Christopher and Banks/CJ Banks a few years ago. I’m wearing the vest and top with a long button down white shirt from Chico’s and a snowman embellished neck scarf from a gazillion years ago. As usual…black pants. The black and white ruana is new, from Macy’s, this year. This is such a fun outfit; not quite Christmas, but certainly fits the current weather.
