We spent several days at our home, over Labor Day weekend. While we were there I set a table in front of the fireplace, downstairs in J’s lodge.
Most of the dishes are packed away. I found the square plates and bowls behind the bar. The pinecone flatware was in one of the drawers. I borrowed the “birch” candles from the lodge coffee table and found the wheat candleholder in basement storage, where I also found the grapevine pumpkin. The deer were in the double bonnet secretary, also in the lodge. The woven trays were with other woven trays and chargers in the pantry.
I haven’t packed up all the napkins and found these in a bedroom chest. I wasn’t sure what I would come up with. I didn’t want anything really Fall. The lodge lends itself easily to the colors of Autumn, so the table theme worked out okay, without shouting seasonal change.
I found the plates and bowls at Wal-mart, last Christmas. The pinecone flatware is from Bass Pro Shop a year or two ago.
