"Whilst August yet wears her golden crown,
Ripening fields lush, bright with promise;
Summer waxes long, then wanes, quietly passing
Her fading green glory on to riotous Autumn."
- Michelle L. Thieme, August's Crown
"Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability."
- Sam Keen
The red geraniums, on the apartment porch, are looking a tad bedraggled. When the current heat wave passes, we are replacing them with mums, like this one.
I’ve used the Sam Keen quote before. It fits, so why not use it again…and again.
And then…there is this…just a hint.
While we spend time at our home, later this week, I may put together a table.
We are wandering through this time in a sort of suspension, waiting for someone to come along with a good offer. Time seems to stand still. I feel the need to create something before my decorating muse leaves, taking my ideas for tables and such.
