It is a tiny 714 square foot apartment, in a gorgeous gated community, we hope to make our little getaway haven for the next few months.
The pillows are inspiration for the color scheme. I want to use these colors through the apartment; keeping furnishings and color to a minimum.
One bedroom, one bath, an alcove with a small utility closet (room for washer/dryer).
The kitchen is a sort of galley style. I really like this style kitchen. There are plenty of cabinets and room for a table and chairs.
We will use the slipcovered chairs from the dining room. The table is a rectangular pine table, that is being used as my desk in J’s lodge. I’ve calculated and re-calculated and believe it will fit into the dining area very well.
I ordered four green lumbar pillows for the chairs, carrying some of the color into the kitchen area.
Two of the hearth room chairs and the round ottoman will be used in the living room. I’m going to try the round table. I believe it will work. The lamp is going to be used in the living room.
The metal table is from Michael’s. I saw the table when Michael’s began Spring displays, and watched it off and on. Today, I ran into Michael’s for sphagnum moss and there I found the table…60% off. Perfect for between the two chairs.
You may recall when I covered the chair seat with red and beige toile. Time for change. I found the beige and dark brown fabric at Hancock Fabric today. I’ll cover the seat and use the chair at a desk or as extra seating.
I’m taking along the sunflower canvas on speculation.
I’ve lived in a smaller space than 714 square feet. I’ll tell you about that space soon.
We meet the media guy Thursday. I’ll get a few before pictures and write about how it progresses to home away from home.
We plan to sip a glass of wine or two, at this little table. There is just enough room on the covered patio (enclosed on three sides), for the table and chairs and a few pots of ferns and flowers. The “back porch” is shaded in the evening.
