I had no idea how the round table would be used, when I spotted it in the consignment store, so I passed it by. I couldn’t stop thinking about the table, so I returned to the store and purchased it.
The table sat between two of the four hearth room chairs, all Spring. Finally, the light went on and I knew where it was needed.
I’m happy I returned for the table. It’s a great fit for the hearth room corner.
Every so often, I will be writing about a corner of our home. This is something that might continue for weeks, perhaps months. We’ll see what happens.
I’m working on a little project. I picked up several table photos at the original Back Porch Musings. Quite a bit of editing is needed. I’m trying to keep the dates with the photos. The plan is to do a tablescape album, here at the current Back Porch Musings. I don’t know if I will bring all the old tables over or just certain ones. All in all, there are over 300 settings. With that many, I will probably pick and choose my favorites and leave the others.
The photo above is from March 25, 2007, just about three weeks after BPM was launched, with great trepidation. As you can see, my tables have become steadily more elaborate over the past 7 years. The picture is an indication of how much my blogging has changed over the years. What do you think about that?
I know this project will take time, but it will be something fun to work on, over Summer. Several people have suggested I do a book. That is something to think about.
