…just because
A look back at the black cabinet…beginning in the Valspar Laura Ashley Gold 3 breakfast room.
2010
Blue and white dishes are stored in this cabinet, from Riverside Furniture.
The dishes at the bottom of the cabinet are J’s mother’s blue and white Country, from Wedgewood.
The drawers hold seasonal accessories, used for table setting.
Other dishes include, Spode Italian, American Atelier Asian and Blue Willow Churchill. There are a few pieces of Depression Glass Cobalt Blue. Bunny salt and peppers sit on the stack of saucers and salad plates.
Cabinet Top Vignette
The bunny weather vane is from Target, a few years ago. Other pieces, in this vignette, were picked up at Target, Michael’s, and resale shops. I can’t remember where I found the etched cloche.

Family News
We spent Tuesday at St Luke’s for routine semi annual check ups. Good report for mine. I take a few pills each day. I’m okay. J has, as you know, a couple of ongoing problems that are being managed very well. Our physician is trying a couple of new things. While there J’s pacemaker was checked and all was fine.
We also began diabetes education. J brought home a monitor. Diet changes are beginning now. At the end of the month he will see the endocrinologist. We are pretty sure he will be having insulin injections.
We were supposed to have another appointment at St Luke’s today. That one was a follow up for J’s Cpap machine. We changed that appointment to later in April, due to weather.
When we drove home late yesterday, we met heavy rain and hail along the way. Today we are having severe storms. As always, at this time of year, those storms might include tornadoes. With the weather being not so pleasant we decided to just stay home today. On good weather days, the drive to St Luke’s is about an hour, depending on traffic and construction. There is no telling how long it might take during strong thunderstorms. Anyway…it didn’t take much to talk ourselves into staying home.
I haven’t had a lot of time for blogging but want to continue with at least three posts per week. Once again, I dug around in the archives here and at the original BPM. I hope you enjoy this look back.
Happy Weekend!
