I definitely needed this fun table, put together with this and that pulled from the dish closet.
I thought of the rim soups first, then found the leaf plates. The table just sort of grew on its own. This green table lifted my spirits, just when I needed a spirit lifter.
A good table for soup and bread and wine and cheese; simple pleasures.

I was asked how often we use our rooms and who does the cleaning because, the reader mentioned, the house always looks perfect in the photos.
Our home is a story and half. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. These rooms are used when we have company. They are kept company ready, with minimal work.
As we age, we find we spend most of our time on the main floor. We are here at home just about every day, all day. We use all the rooms on the main floor every day. We visit J’s lodge on the lower level when the mood strikes.
The main floor consists of the kitchen, breakfast room, hearth room, living room, dining room, powder room, and master suite. These rooms are not always picture perfect, but we try to keep them picked up.
J and I share housekeeping. We don’t have anyone come in to help with cleaning.
There are little cluttered spaces with projects in progress. These spaces are the farmhouse table and kitchen island. They usually look a tad jumbled. I always seem to need a project or three.
Our busy week continues. J’s new Cpap machine was delivered this morning. Now we shall see what happens.
We have a date for breakfast with g’kids tomorrow morning. We saw a couple of them for a few minutes yesterday (see photo mosaic).
We have appointments for haircuts, Friday. That was our Monday appointment, moved to Friday, due to freezing rain. Yesterday was gorgeous. Sunny and temps in 60’s…Winter in Missouri…freezing rain one minute, practically tropical the next.
