I’m sharing a stop at one of our favorite wineries for Oh the Places I’ve Been!
We don’t travel I-44 as much these days, as we did in the past. When we do take the drive, the former Route 66, we always stop by Saint James Winery.
When we stopped on our way to Big Cedar, last month, we discovered many wonderful changes to the winery.
Our last visit was a couple of years ago, on our way to my 50th class reunion in Lebanon Missouri, so we were surprised to see the changes.
The first thing we noticed was the beautiful new entrance. There are many more changes to the interior, which is larger now.
Saint James has been on our list of great wineries for many years.
This poster print hangs beside the pantry door in our kitchen. I moved it to the breakfast room, early this morning, to get a good photo.
A number of years ago Saint James Winery had the rights for using American Gothic for their Country wines.
Several years ago, the label was retired. The winery gave away countless numbers of this poster with the purchase of a case of wine. Needless to say, we acquired a few of these posters.
We liked the poster so much we had it matted and framed. We like the Country wines, too.
Here are a few photos around the award winning winery.
Saint James is located east of Rolla Missouri and west of Saint Louis.
Lots of good memories of visiting the winery on our many trips to the beautiful Ozarks. Great memories of stopping at the vineyards where we purchase grapes at roadside stands along the highway.
Of course we bought a mixed case of our favorites, some of which we enjoyed during our stay at Big Cedar Resort.
Remember to stop back by Back Porch Musings, Friday 11/8, for the vignette how to event.
We received no compensation for this post. We just simply like Saint James Winery and want to spread the word.
