We leave you with this tiny fish story.
BEFORE
I rarely win a giveaway. Recently, I had the good fortune to win a gift certificate from D. Lawless Hardware, at Shirley’s Hospitality Designs. I decided it was time for a change of cabinet hardware in J’s little bar, tucked away in a corner of the “lodge”.
In this before shot and others the bar seems to be a different color than the cabinets. In reality they match. With the addition of the new hardware we are discussing brackets for under the bar top. You know how it is, one thing leads to another.
In the background of the photo you can see one of the wood knobs that have been replaced.
AFTER
J’s memorabilia cabinet.
ANSWERS
The Lodge
I was asked about the location of the lodge and if it is the same as our lake condo. We closed on the sale of our lake condo last week. We said goodbye to the condo a month ago.
The room we call the lodge is an 850 square foot finished area of the basement of our home. There is a bathroom in the finished area. The unfinished area of the basement has the mechanical systems of our home. It is also used for storage.
You can see more of the lodge in our Fall Home Tour.
The Rooster Cart
Jim Shore is the artist who created the rooster cart and other figurines.
Lodging of a different kind. More about this cozy cabin or one like it, soon.
