A decorating mini metamorphosis.
We purchased this table and chairs at an antique shop in Camdenton Missouri three or four years ago.
The table and chairs sat in the hearth room for a couple of years and eventually found a home in J’s lodge.
We believe the table is a composite of at least two tables. We have a few other pieces of furniture repurposed with various bits and pieces.
Last Tuesday we found our way to a new resale shop in town. I hope to visit often.
I found these chairs, lined against a wall, looked them over and liked what I saw. However, I didn’t buy them that day.
I thought about the chairs until Wednesday morning, when we returned to the shop and made the purchase.
The new chairs are perfect for the little piecemeal table and exactly right for the lodge.
Beautiful just the way they are. No painting required.
Another Chair
I bought this chair at the same resale shop, while visions of sugar plums danced in my head. This sort of vision is also known as thoughts of Christmas on the back porch.
I know it is too early and I would not even think about starting Christmas decorating around here, until late November, unless we are on a tour. Having a plan is okay, though.
The chair landed on the front porch where I added a mum, just for fun Fall. A witch might look cute sitting here…hmmmm.
