How an article of clothing inspired a table setting.
Table inspiration can be found in many places.
I found the scarf a couple of months ago at Chico’s. The colors beckoned me, I followed like a moth to flame.
I saw a jumble of gorgeous color, but didn’t see the pattern until I got a bit closer.
The scarf came home with me. I knew it would be perfect with my good old standby Chico’s Travelers black dress and jacket. That dress is a workhorse and it must be at least 10 years old! It is my wedding and funeral dress. I just change the jacket and other accessories. I wonder if anyone notices I wear that dress a lot. It even served me well as Mother of the Bride attire, six years ago this Fall.
That’s enough about the dress. Let’s get to the scarf story.
As I admired my new scarf, a tablescape idea popped into my dish fevered mind.
I imagined the scarf on the dining room table, surrounded by colorful dishes and flickering candles.
