Davis House~Faust Park
Walk along with us as we leave the 21st Century behind and stroll through the village at Faust Park, West St Louis County, Missouri.
Looking from the front walk of Davis House toward one of several barns around the village.
Seeing this house and barn you easily believe these buildings have been on this property at least 100 years. However, they have been moved to Faust Park from sites, around St Louis County, where they might have faced demolition. How wonderful it is to see these treasures preserved.
Current work is being done on the restoration of a blacksmith shop from north Saint Louis County and a general store from Fenton MO. We had a pleasant conversation with someone who was working on the blacksmith shop, during our visit.
Another look at the barn near Davis House.
Not far from Davis House you will find the Mertz Cabin.

Flowers and foliage of Faust Park are showing a late Summer look, a tad earlier than usual…or at least that is what we believe. Here are a few close ups of the beautiful old fashioned gardens.
Faust Park Part 1 concludes with a photo of this barn, original to the property, located in an area near the village.
You will not be surprised to know that J and I have a special place in our hearts for rural Missouri. This park, on the edge of the big city, brings some of that old time rural living back to life.
Granddaughter Xanti and our newest grandson Kyle chose Faust Park as the location for their wedding photos.
I have more to share.
Stay tuned…
