As you know, we have our Lake of the Ozarks condo listed for sale, since the end of April. We’ve had several people look, still no offers.
Wednesday, we made a day trip run to the lake. Our mission was to clear out one of the closets and pack up some of the glassware and dishes to bring home.
We’ve pared down a lot of stuff and hope to clear a bit more before the condo sells. Our thinking is to take care of as much as possible so as to expedite the move, should we get a buyer.
It is amazing what can accumulate, over the years, even at a weekend place.

I think it is next to impossible for me to pass by the Osage Beach HomeGoods without making a stop. Wednesday was no exception.
The 60 minute power shopping spree yielded tee shirts and shorts for J, colorful tops for me, a table for the back porch, and one other item, for J. That item is featured in this post.
The mounted fish, above the mantel, is a Bass, caught from a farm pond by J around 1978, while he was on crutches following a chain saw accident.
Life on the farm isn’t always kinda laid back, as John Denver sang. Sometimes excitement is just around the corner.
Let’s take a look in J’s lodge to see what I found at HomeGoods.
If you guessed the basket, on the round table, you guessed correctly.
I always make time to have a look at accent pillows when I am in HomeGoods.
I had pillows on my mind when I rounded the corner and saw the basket. I’ve seen these faux antler adorned baskets in magazines and in homes online, but I never thought I would find one to buy.
I wasn’t actively looking for accessories for J’s lodge. It must have been serendipity, finding the basket. It’s perfect for the lodge room.
While I was downstairs, shooting photos of the basket, I noticed, to my dismay, the mantel was bare. I must really be falling behind in my vignette arranging. What is the matter with me!
Never fear, the mighty merchandizing muse was near.
In the blink of an eye, she made a woodsy vignette appear.
A NOTE…The lodge room shown in this post is at our primary home. I’ll put together a post with photos from our lake condo, soon.
The photos of the lake were taken near Bagnell Dam. Our condo is a few miles, by water or road, from the dam. Lake of the Ozarks has more shore line than California. It’s a big lake that meanders here and there.
