Shop Around the Corner
Seasonal Sunday host, The Tablescaper, is inaugurating a new weekly link party, beginning Friday April 19th.
Oh, the PLACES I’ve Been is all about posting places we visit; whether a vacation spot, shop around the corner, a favorite park or anything in between. If you would like to participate, have your post ready to link up Thursday evening at 7 PM Eastern, at The Tablescaper.
MAIN STREET~TROY MISSOURI
All About Home is a local shop, housed in an antique building, once the home of the I.O.O.F., a bank, photography business, a grocery store and more.
J fondly remembers the grocery store and cartons and cartons of bulk candy.
The smaller room of All About Home was a bakery when J was a child. He remembers stopping there for a donut, on his way to school, at Sacred Heart, just up the hill. Yes, J walked three miles to school, even in blizzards. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I have, because I too walked to school, even in blizzards. Not quite three miles, though. I’m sure you have heard these stories before…perhaps you experienced those times.
I mention the shop, now and then, and featured it in a post or two, here and at the original Back Porch Musings (Blogger).
The owners of All About Home are in the process of having a store website designed. I was asked to do the photos. I am including a few of those photos, here.
All About Home offers a wonderful eclectic mix of home furnishings and gifts.
I brought home one of the twine holders.
