LATE WINTER
LEAP TOWARD SPRING
Leap day, February 29, 2012. seems the perfect day, to leap toward Spring with a nature inspired tablescape.
Most elements for this table were found at HomeGoods or Mikasa Outlets and garage sales, a few years ago.
The dinner plate and salad plate are from my 30 year collection of Mikasa French Countryside.
Flatware is Pfaltzgraff.
The Bordallo leaf plate with bunny attached is one of four, purchased several years ago at HG.
The wire cloche is from All About Home, Main Street Troy MO.
Garden accessories, pulled from winter storage, form the center vignette.
The dining room wall color is Sherwin Williams Interesting Aqua.
The slipcovers were included with the purchase of the chairs, from Lexington.
I dressed up the dining room chest with blue and white jars and sprigs of faux pear blossoms.
Springtime Reminder
During the early hours of Wednesday 2/29, we were once again reminded of the violence of Spring here in the Midwest. Our thoughts are with our neighbors in the southern areas of Missouri and St Louis, as well as Kansas and Illinois where pre-Spring tornadoes struck overnight.
