J was recovering from appendectomy, when this was shot.
I believe this was about 5 years ago. All the dates seem to run together, these days! It’s a very good thing J keeps a written record of all his surgeries and other life events!

A note about the trees
The ornaments on these trees are a collection that began the first year we were married.
We had a tiny Charlie Brown style tree in 1983. J found a Hallmark wildlife ornament, a pheasant, that year. After that, Christmas decorating was like a snowball that began rolling the first part of November and rolled right along to Christmas Day.
We added to our collections at after Christmas sales for many years. Now and then we are still tempted to add even more.
The photo, through the french door, with Molly lying in the sun, shows a tree with more than 200 Hallmark ornaments, we’ve collected through the years. I am going to see if the kids will go through that batch and take them home. That’s a lot of ornaments.
We decorated every room at the farm and continued here, for a few years.
In 2006 our home was on the Garden Club tour.
