Sometimes, life is like a bowl of chili…full of beans and a little spicy.
I made a crockpot of chili, Wednesday. Every time I make chili I put it together different than the time before. It always tastes good, even when I throw it a curve.
Pinto and Great Northern beans for the pot, this time, and the usual spices with the addition of Mexican Seasoning. Simmered in the pot all day. Served in the new red bowls, topped with sour cream, Pico De Gallo, and shredded cheese.
Cornbread would have been excellent. I keep forgetting the iron skillet and cornbread ingredients when we are home.
So far we are spending several days a week at the house. Will be there Friday for yard work. I will make a note about the skillet, etc.
We are encouraged by the number of people looking at the house. So far so good. Even though there are no offers yet, it has only been two weeks, we are optimistic.
Facebook friends saw these photos the other evening. We enjoyed watching the guys play tennis, from our porch perch, this week. We are happy we gave ourselves this little luxury, for the duration. Even though we aren’t at the apartment full time, it is proving to be just “what the doctor ordered”.
If you missed the chili bowl table, you can find it Here.
Enjoy the weekend!
