When last seen, the master bedroom was dressed in paisley and plaid, a perfect combination for Winter.
Last week I decided to lighten up the space with a Ralph Lauren floral, once used at our former lake place.
I added a creamy white embroidered RL sham. The white quilt and shams remain. RL floral shams and comforter provide just a touch of cool color.
I borrowed a dark wicker bench, with white canvas cushion, from another room. The crocheted name piece was brought in from the dining room.
The heavy wool rug, used during Winter, was rolled up and stored in the basement. A lighter rug, also from our former lake home, was added.
Alstroemeria in a white pitcher and white lanterns for additional lightness.
Birdcage pillow, cable stitch throw, a lamp, and bric a brac were found while I shopped the house.
Drop leaf table from the dining room, baskets, and a small handmade footstool complete this arrangement.
Spring and Summer are seen on this little vintage chair; framed bird egg print, bird nest, and my Charleston straw hat were found in the house shopping spree.
