In keeping with the season, I am calling the animals reindeer. In fact, the dishes are Better Homes and Gardens Roaming Elk, from Walmart.
I found Roaming Elk when I was roaming the aisles looking for the dishes I used on the breakfast room table for A Farmhouse Christmas.
Roaming Elk followed me home.
A fringed burlap cloth and plaid scarf serve as table cover. Linen napkins, burlap flatware pockets, woven napkin rings and grapevine chargers add to the natural look of the table in J’s lodge.
A tiny Santa and sleigh pulled by a reindeer, a bit of greenery, and antlers provide the centerpiece, lit by a single “birch bark” candle.
