TAKING IT EASY
I set a carefree table for two, on the back porch. J cut a small branch from one of the Cleveland Pear trees in our back yard. It will be completely in bloom by tomorrow or next day. The budding branch makes a simple pretty floral arrangement for the wine and cheese table.
I stacked Mikasa French Countryside salad plates under the cloche and added two colorful glasses, we brought from the lake, last weekend. Green handled flatware in a vase, faux and real fruit, and napkins secured with ice cream chair rings, complete the setting.
Just why am I taking it easy with the ‘scape this week?
I am giving myself a little break. Not wanting to take a blog break, I decided a simple table, quickly photographed would work just as well.
If you’ve had Shingles, you know how ghostly, residual pain returns when least expected, even months after the initial symptoms. That is the reason for my little break. Not so bad…just a little inconvenience. I am positive this stems from our marathon trip to the lake, Saturday, since that is when the pain began. Improving and counting my blessings.
Please forgive editorial mistakes, etc. I probably should not have done the previous post or this one, but then, you all know how I enjoy Back Porch Musings and how it works great as an escape mechanism, for me. I hope to be back to “normal” next post.
I am working on a photo shoot at one of my favorite places, this week. The shop owner is having a website built and asked me to do the photos. I am excited at the prospect of photographing this beautiful store.
