BITS & PIECES
While visiting The Redhead Can Decorate blog, I saw Julie’s Bean Dip. It looked easy and delicious. I made the dip Sunday afternoon.
Julie suggested the addition of lime juice. What a great idea. It really added a little extra something to the flavor.
Julie’s recipe can be found HERE.
A simple dessert for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Fudge brownie with vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry on top…just because.
Bear with me a couple of days. I’ll be back to blogging my usual soon.
CHANGES
We are in the midst of a nifty project on the back porch, I think you will like. It is taking a bit more time than we anticipated.
THE BEAT GOES ON
FEBRUARY 4, 2013
Today, J and I have doctor appointments. No big deal, just routine.
February 4, 2012 was a different story. One year ago today, J had a fainting spell, while we were stopped in Jefferson City, on our way home from the lake. To say 2012 was an eventful year, might be an understatement.
After spending a few days in hospital in Jefferson City, we made our way home. J entered the hospital in St Louis later that same week. After another week, he came home with a pacemaker and a couple of new stents, added to the stents already there. He continues to do well with that and with Parkinson’s Disease, diagnosed last Fall.
I drew from old photos and archives and continued blogging along, all through those two weeks in February. It kept my mind occupied and that’s a good thing.
BPM and you have seen me through some interesting times over the past 6 years.
