~Back Porch Breakfast~

EASY DOES IT

Still feeling a tad under the weather, I set a simple breakfast table on the back porch. It’s quite a departure from last week’s table. 

Cozy, comfortable, and easy going; just right for this week.

Last trip to the lake we decided to bring the bistro set home.  The table and chairs are around counter height and very comfortable.  We plan to be here at home the rest of Fall. Having most of our meals on the back porch is part of the plan.

Under the Weather

On the Back Porch

A bad ol’ stomach “complaint” came to our house over the weekend.  It reared it’s ugly head Monday night.  I am recovering nicely and hope to have a table ready to go by this afternoon.  In the meantime I wanted let you know where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to.  Apparently 8 of 14 family folks at Miss G’s birthday party are affected by the ailment.  Not food poisoning.  It is a virus. 

I am happy to say, today is a better day.

Over the weekend I decided it was time for a change of face at Back Porch Musings.

Out with the old!

This one from August 2011 was replaced with the study in black and white. 

I like to update my profile picture, now and then, so you can see how I’ve grown and greyed.

FAMILY NEWS

Eldest granddaughter snapped this photo of G’ma and the younger grands, Sunday afternoon.  Little missy was celebrating her 8th birthday. 

She had a mishap over the weekend.

After happily celebrating her big day with her soccer team, Saturday evening, she fell and cut her right leg, inside the knee.  The cut which also nicked a tendon, required 12 stitches.  She will sit out the rest of Fall soccer season.  She is such a great kid and is taking her injury in stride.  Of course, G’ma cried when she heard the mishap news.
