AUTUMN ISLAND

Life is slowly returning to normal, whatever that is, at our house.

I ventured out a couple of days this week.  On one trip, I found this cabinet.  I saw it when I first walked into The White Hare and kept returning to the cabinet as I browsed the shop.   

I looked at it a couple more times before making up my mind…as if I didn’t know it was going home with me when I first noticed it.

I knew it was perfect for the kitchen island.

This will be fun to decorate for Christmas and other holidays.

When we left for the lake at the end of July, the porch was stripped to the bare bones. 

As soon as I began feeling better, I went to work putting some of our personality back.

The swan bench is dressed for Fall and the table is set for a casual late Summer supper.

This votive, a nod to the coming season, was among the gifts from my friend Kathy, when we returned from the lake.
