BENCH AND LIGHT
After I posted the previous note, I decided to call a member of my tech support team (youngest daughter), who gave me much needed tech support!
I did a little fancy footwork…..well…..not so fancy, but footwork, just the same.
Voila! A back porch post at Back Porch Musings!
I found the black stripe fabric, to coordinate with the bench cushion and pillows, on the swan bench, at JoAnn fabric.
I’ve had the black iron bench several years.
Replaced the open lantern light with the smaller pendant light.
A view of the back of our home. The triple window to the left is the breakfast room. The next area is the hearth room. The back porch is between the master bedroom and hearth room. The porch is accessible from both rooms.
PICNICS AND FAMILY NEWS
Thursday morning we boarded the Golden Eagle Ferry and crossed the Mississippi River. Our destination was Pere Marquette State Park (IL), where we enjoyed a picnic lunch, followed by a drive on The Great River Road.
Pimento Cheese, veggies and cookies from home.
Catfish fritters, fries, and hushpuppies from Beasley Fish Mkt, Grafton IL.
Sailboat on the Illinois River.
Illinois wheat field.
FAMILY NEWS
During our drive home, eldest granddaughter Xanti called to tell us she and Kyle also picnicked Thursday, her birthday.
Kyle gave Xanti a vintage camera. Inside the camera was a beautiful engagement ring.
